QUT’s
Creative Industries Precinct is Australia’s first site dedicated to experimentation and commercial development in the creative industries.
The $60 million facility boasts state-of-the-art teaching areas, animation and design labs, and rehearsal, performance and exhibition spaces. It opens up unique opportunities for designers, artists, researchers, educators and entrepreneurs to connect and collaborate on new work and grow the creative industries sector in Queensland.
The Precinct is home to Australia’s first
Creative Industries Faculty delivering courses in communication design, creative writing, dance, drama, fashion design, film and television, journalism, media communication, music and sound, and visual arts.
The Precinct also houses the
Creative Industries Enterprise Centre, from which creative industries businesses operate in a dynamic and collaborative atmosphere. The Centre also fosters the development of small or ‘micro’ creative industries, by providing start-up programs and flexible areas of office accommodation.
