The Centre for Health and Clinical Education
The Queensland University of Technology Health and Recreation Centre, located at 44 Musk Avenue, brings health services and facilities for physical activity and business to the centre of the Kelvin Grove Urban Village.
In residence since April 2008 are the laboratories and processing facilities for the Australian Red Cross Blood Service which process blood products for use in Queensland hospitals.
The Physical Activities centre includes an indoor 25-metre pool, a gymnasium and a multi-purpose indoor sports court. The sports venues will be used for teaching and research by the University and will also be open to the public.
In addition, the Centre has a retail front with shops along Musk Avenue and a further 3,000 square metres of commercial space available for lease.
QUT Health Clinics
The QUT Health Clinics offer services in the specialist areas of podiatry, optometry, nutrition and dietetics, psychology and counselling, human movement and wound healing. The general community can access quality, affordable health care services from these clinics.
Located in modern facilities at 44 Musk Avenue, services available at the clinics include:
- Optometry Clinic
- Podiatry Clinic
- Psychology & Counselling
- Wound Healing Service
- Human Movement (coming mid 2009), and
- Nutrition & Dietetics (coming mid 2009).

The Queensland Academy for Creative Industries
The Queensland Academy for Creative Industries now resides in its state-of-the-art facility on the corner of Musk Avenue and Blamey Street, in the heart of the Village.
The Academy's vision is to be a world-class, learning environment of choice for the aspirational creative generation. An Education Queensland initiative, established in collaboration with the Queensland University of Technology, the Academy provides an environment for higher level learning for students in Years 10 to 12.
